From the onset, our process is client centered. We recognize that you are bringing a unique set of values, circumstances, and desires into your retirement and we must help you tap this unique combination. Otherwise, your retirement will be like the proverbial square peg in a round hole—uncomfortable and unsatisfying. We begin by administering one of two retirement-readiness assessments - the Retirement Success Profile™ or the Life Options Profile™. Both instruments are well researched and are considered the best of breed in the field. Your results create a personalized foundation for a meaningful way ahead.

The assessment is a great start for a meaningful retirement. Given the potential to discover real life satisfaction during retirement, we prefer to work with clients who are committed to developing a personal retirement roadmap. If, after working with us through Step 1 over the first month, you are not satisfied with our services, we will refund your money -- no questions asked.

On the other hand, you might be thinking “Six months? I am ready now. Let’s go!” Perhaps an explanation is due. It is often recommended that folks start planning for retirement five years before they begin retirement. This is good advice. However, many folks can get bogged down in contemplation, procrastinate, become overwhelmed by the myth-laden process or unfortunately, focus on a very narrow perspective of retirement, like relocation or finances. Ours is a step-by-step method that gently but persistently guides you through a holistic planning process. You finish the full Retire Anew process with your retirement roadmap. However, we have learned that people do need to proceed at their own pace. You will need time to reflect, sound out your ideas with others, see if an option looks right for you, try something on for size to determine if it feels right. Four to six months is a sound timeframe and we have built this into our process so you are not rushed. However, this is your plan; we will expedite the process on our end as you request. Service: Reflect on results of personal retirement readiness assessment to determine what an ‘ideal’ retirement would look like for client and craft a vision statement.

»Conduct two 60 minute visioning sessions.

Outcome: A succinct description of the client’s ideal retirement that serves as an anchor for retirement decisions.

Set Goals to Reach Vision

Service: Based on vision statement, establish goals necessary to reach this unique status and define specific measurable outcomes the client desires to achieve.

»Conduct four 60 minute goal development sessions.

Outcome: A list of desired outcomes and associated measures that ensure the client is progressing toward their retirement vision.

Develop Strategies to Reach Goals

Service: Identify specific actions and timelines for reaching retirement goals

»Conduct three 60 minute action planning sessions.

Outcome: List of specific actions the client will take by goal areas and associated dates actions are to be accomplished.

Finalize Retirement Road Map

Service: Prepare and finalize the client’s personal retirement-transition roadmap.

»Conduct a 60 minute session to review the retirement-transition roadmap.

Outcome: A single document capturing the client’s retirement vision, goals, actions and associated timelines for achieving planned actions.  The roadmap serves as a personalized compass to assist the client in remaining fixed on realizing their retirement dream.
